Asalaamu Alaikum,
Firstly, please remember that by reading this, Allah SWT has brought you to read this. All knowledge is from Him.

We are very lucky as Muslims to have a moral code which we can follow to get the best out of our life. We must improve ourselves as Muslims and remove all the bad habits this world and lifestyle has put upon us.

Taken from a book I’d like to share with you:

A Muslim mixes with people of noble character.

Mixing with the right people has a good effect on a person, raising their level of taqwa (consciousness of Allah), improving their attitudes, speech and behaviour, and increasing their understanding of religion and love of truth, until they themselves become one of the group of righteous people.

The prophet (saw) gave an example of this:
"The good companion and the bad companion are like the bearer of musk and the one who pumps the bellows (keeps a fire going), With the bearer of musk, either he will give you a share, or you will buy from him, or you will smell a pleasant scent from him; but with the one who pumps the bellows, either he will burn your clothes or you will smell a foul stench from him" (Bukhari and Muslim)

This illustrates the need to keep good company. InshaAllah we can all become noble in our behaviour and be good company for our friends.

Masha'Allah, excellent

Masha'Allah, excellent reminder.
Good companions are something I constantly emphasize, believing it to be one of the keys to success as a Muslim.
Being a student I can appreciate its importance, and remain thankful to Allah for having friends that categorise into the 'Musk' section!
